LONDON COASTGUARD RESPOND TO COLLISION ON RIVER THAMES

At 14:14 this afternoon, London Coastguard were informed of a collision between a pleasure vessel MV Millennium Time, with 362 people on board, and the tugboat, Redoubt. Tower RNLI lifeboat and other resources, including Fireboat Flash, and Marine Police 1, 2, 3 and 8 were mobilised to assist. MV Millennium Time was holed on its deck, but both vessels remain afloat. MV Millennium Time is now at Coin Street moorings. 

Passengers were transferred to Festival Pier by pleasure vessel Mayflower Garden where they were assessed for injury. A Maritime and Coastguard Agency Marine Surveyor will attend. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch have been informed.
