COASTGUARD URGE PUBLIC TO THINK OF THEIR OWN SAFETY

UK Coastguard remind the public not to enter the water if they see anything, but to dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Ian Guy, UK Coastguard Controller said, " Following last nights incident off Brighton Beach, many members of the public have come to the scene. Whilst we understand that people want to help, it is vital that no-one attempts to enter the water. If you see anything which you might think is related to the search, dial 999 and report it to the Coastguard."
