Two men rescued after falling down cliff at Praa Sands

Earlier this morning, HM Coastguard responded to a 999 call reporting that two men had fallen down a cliff at Praa Sands in Cornwall.

One of the men who had fallen down the cliff had managed to scramble up the cliff top and raise the alarm.

Penzance and Porthleven Coastguard Rescue Teams and the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Newquay responded to the call, alongside South West Ambulance Service and the Devon and Cornwall Police.

The man who’d raised the alarm sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by the ambulance service.  The other casualty was treated by the Paramedic Winchman and airlifted to Derriford Hospital.  We wish both casualties a speedy recovery.
