Angler Falls At Great Orme’s Head

At 7.32am on Sunday 20 May, HM Coastguard was contacted by North Wales Police to report a man stuck on rocks at Orme Head near Llandudno. Coastguard rescue teams from Llandudno, Rhyl and Penmon were sent to the scene and the RNLI lifeboat from Llandudno was immediately launched.
Llandudno lifeboat recovered a male casualty clinging to rocks on Great Orme's Head and a second male casualty was found and recovered in the water.
The Coastguard rescue helicopter from Caernarfon attended and both casualties were transferred to Bangor Hospital.
It’s reported that the two men were angling at Great Orme's Head when one man fell down the cliff and his companion became stuck while trying to help. He was spotted by members of the public who called 999 to raise the alarm.
